This wonderful vintage 24" x 33" topographic map of the Central Wasatch Mountains in Utah was produced by the early US Geological Survey from the surveys of the famous western explorers Clarence King and John Wesley Powell, during Powell's tenure as director of the USGS. This handsome map - yellowed from aging and depicting topography in clear brown contours and water bodies in blue - is simple, attractive, and a delight to study and peruse. Did you know there were railroads up Little Cottonwood Canyon and American Fork? Remember when Brighton was Silver City, Spring Lake was Pondtown, Draper was Draperville, and Little Cottonwood Canyon had towns called Wasatch and Graniteville?

UnConformity has done justice to this historic map by printing on Arches BFK Rives 100% Cotton Rag paper, handmade at the Blanchet Frères & Kléber paper mill in Rives, France on a traditional cylinder paper mould. The subtle pattern of the paper fibers is visible in oblique lighting, and lends a rich and elegant appearance that gives substance and depth.  We think you'll love it.

* NOTE: This is a carefully crafted print of the highest quality, but it is not the original work.
